Hillary fears Russian Interference in US Election 2016
After the Washington Post Report published that, United States intelligence and Law enforcement agencies are exploring extensive and hidden Russian effort to interrupt the US Election 2016, Democratic nominee for US election 2016 accused Russia to weaken the United States and strengthen Russian Interests.
“It’s almost unthinkable. We are facing a very serious concern. We have never had a foreign adversarial power be already involved in our election progress with Democratic National Committee hacks.
We have never had a nominee of one of our major parties urging the Russian to hack more.” Clinton said, on Monday in a news conference, “I want everyone – Democrat, Republican, Independent – to understand the real threat that this represents.”
This is one of the most comprehensive comments of Mrs. Clinton for US Election 2016 campaign till now. Mrs. Clinton has also mentioned some recent “credible reports about Russian interference in our elections”, coordinated by the U.S. director of national intelligence, and quoted the hacking of DNC emails in July, as well as Trump’s reaction regarding that hacking.
She expresses a tough promise for upcoming US Election 2016, “We need to be on guard protect our electoral system at all levels and we have to make it clear that we are not gonna let anyone interfere with decisions of the American people.”
Clinton has drawn attention to the fact that, foreign enemies who hope Mr. Trump will succeed in US Election 2016, in order to weaken the United States, may try to disrupt the November results, perhaps with a cyber attack.
When a reporter ask, whether Russia’s actions aligned to a CYBERWAR, Mrs. Clinton said, “I’m not comfortable using the word ‘war’”.
Eventually a reporter asked her opinion, if there is relation of Trump nomination, in the US Election 2016 from the Republican, with Putin’s influence, she took a long pause and then continued, “I think it’s quite intriguing that this activity has happened around the time Trump became the nominee. And look, he very early on allied himself with Putin’s Policies.
Russian President Vladimir Putin apparently does not seem to care about, who is associated with the attack, as he noted the hacking of the Democrat National Committee, potential major party for the US Election 2016, in an interview with Bloomberg News last week.
“Listen, does it even matter who hacks this data?” said Putin. “The important thing is the content that was given to the public.”
Clinton stated Putin’s response as a serious concern. “From my perspective having met with and watched Putin over the years, when I saw his response to that question, it was very clear he’s quite satisfied with himself.” She said. “It is stunning that we are facing this. And especially from a foreign power.” She added.
Clinton also took questions about the notes the FBI released about her use of a personal email server during her time as a secretary of the state, the Clinton foundation, trade and her health. She defended her right as the nation’s top diplomat.
“Everything I did at the State Department, I did in furtherance of America’s interest and security,” she said. “The State Department said there’s absolutely no evidence of any kind of external influence.”
Mrs. Clinton swept off the attacks of Trump’s accusation of her not having the stamina to be president in upcoming US Election 2016. “I am not concerned about conspiracy theories.” She declared. “There are so many of them and I have lost track of them. And so I pay no attention to them.”
She joked about her tough coughing in front of reporters, returning with water in hand, “One thing you know from my doctor letter is I have seasonal allergies.”
Finally she stopped short of saying the Russian’s wanted to help select Trump in US Election 2016 and noted to an old saying from Arkansas, “If you find a turtle on a fence post, it did not get there by itself”, she said.
